Busy Summer!!!

We always seem to keep busy...doing something?? Summer is flying by! Last weekend Gavin was in the Hoopla. ( A 3 on 3 tournament downtown) This kid is obsessed with basketball. It was literally is first word. His team did ok. Lost 3 games and won one. This was pretty tough basketball though..."street ball" as they call it. I am just proud of him for doing it! And I think he was proud of himself too! Way to go Gav! Then last Monday night we went to the Volcanoes Game. Even though they're not a professional team it's still fun to go and watch! I haven't been for a long time...the baseball atmosphere is what's fun! Food, loud music, and then singing "Take me out to the ball game"...which by the way, I was the only one singing~is what I like! I love Summer!! I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine we have back! I know I am!

What's up with this weather??

Ok...so I am starting to get a little ticked about the weather. What is up?? I thought it was supposed to be summer time here?? So we have been kind of cooped up...and driving each other crazy indoors. So me and my good friend Susan decided to take our kids to the bowling alley! FUN!!!

My Little Man!

Well, I can't believe it... my little man turned 7! It seems like he was just born. I just love this kid! He is for sure one of a kind! A little Nick to be exact. On Friday his birthday, we took him to see Ratatouille and then to pick out his present. (A Nintendo DS) We gave him the choice...party with friends or a big present?? He chose the big present. Then today we had a summer BBQ with all the family to celebrate Gavin. We had fun! We have so much family here, it's awesome! Attendees included: Gram, Grandpa, Nana, Papa, Aunt Peggy, Uncle Tyler, Aunt Jen, Aunt Deon, Uncle Dustin, Aunt Elena, Uncle Kyle, Uncle Kevin, Aunt Susan, Aunt Kim, Mom, Dad, Gracie and some of his cousins, Preslee, Grant, Deacon, McKaylee, Marlee, Nolan, and Tucker. Wow...what a fam! (And that's not even all of them) It is so nice to have family close! Gavin got some good presents and some cash too, he was super excited. Well I can't believe another year has passed. I want to just freeze time so he won't grow up anymore! Gavin, I love you...You are truly "my little man!"

Yes it's true...Gracie has found her true love! Trey is our neighbor and friend. We love the Springer Family! Gracie and him have a blast together. It is a total love/ hate relationship! Gracie can not get enough of him! I am kind of ok with it I guess...I wouldn't mind being related to Jen!

Our South Dakota Trip!

Well we just got back from South Dakota! It was definitely a trip to remember! We went there for Nick's cousins wedding, and to visit with Marilyn's family. (Nick's mom) This was my first trip to South Dakota since I met Nick. It started out with Gracie being sick, and then Gavin. Gavin seemed to have been a lot worse! He was sick for the first 5 days of the trip. (and we were only there 7 days) So we spent a lot of time in the hotel room! Gracie got to ride a horse for the first time! She was so excited! We visited Nick's Uncle Joe at his fire station. We went to Wild Water West water park. We went to a Nick's cousin's beautiful wedding! We went and saw the falls that Sioux Falls was named after. And we even got to visit the Sioux Falls hospital! (to make a long story short...Gracie slipped and fell at the hotel pool and needed stitches!) I will never forget this trip, for sure!

Gavin had a tough season this year! He was glad for it to be over! His bad anxiety caused him one too many tummy aches. Nick did an awesome job at coaching though, but for sure coaching your own kid is tough!

I love my Gracie!! It just dawned on me the other day, wow having a girl is kind of fun! We had a little mommy and me shopping trip. Just me and Gracie! I can't wait for many more!
