Mastitis Anyone???

Ok so last week I thought I was going to die...I got mastitis (a bad breast infection) I have seriously never felt such horrible pain (besides child birth with no epidural) in my life!! My boob hurt soooo bad! I got on some antibiotics and I am doing better now. But seriously what is wrong with me I just am not into breastfeeding. I only nursed Gavin for a month and Gracie a couple weeks, but this time I really thought I could do it longer. Third times a charm right?? Well I don't know if it will ever be my thing? I know breastfeeding is so good for the baby but I see myself switching to formula here in the next little while. And how come it is I feel guilty?? I shouldn't right? My other two kids have turned out ok...( so far??) I kind of think breastfeeding is a personality thing. You either love it or you don't? A part of me wants to keep nursing but a big chunk of me is ready to call it quits! I need some advice!

Our New Little Man...

Well we are truly enjoying our new little man! He is just a little peanut. Nick and I just find ourselves snugglin him all the time!! How could you not?? I am still not getting enough beauty sleep though! And I am starting to get cabin fever! I was always on the go, so having this baby has kind of changed things a little. I don't want to find myself with the baby blues so I have to pick myself up! I think it all just my be the lack of sleep, I am one of those kind of people who has to get at least 8 + hours of zzz's a night! Oh well...he is truly worth every minute of loss sleep!!! Last week my good friend Jen came over and took some adorable pictures of Drake. She is such a sweet person...and a great photographer!! Thanks again Jen...I luv ya!! He has ARRIVED!!!

Well I thought I should let everybody know that we are healthy and home now!!! Drake has joined our family! He was born the 15th at about 1:30 p.m.! Weighing in at 7 lbs 3 oz and 18 1/2 inches long! We finally got a newborn! He is so tiny...it's hard to believe he's ours! After a horrible labor (I was given 2 epidurals and neither one worked!!!...my worst nightmare came true) I only had to push for 3 minutes ( 2 contractions) and he just flew out! It's all still a blur! I can't believe I have 3 kids now. I am truly a zombie...I was definitely not prepared for the lack of sleep! Last night I think I got 30 minutes total of sleep time. I am scared I might turn beastly! I don't do well with lack of sleep! But we are just luvin on this new little baby. I just snuggle him. I totally forget what it was like to have a baby...but I am trying to enjoy every second because I do remember how fast time flies! Don't be surprised if my posts become few and far between...sleep is very precious now. I can tell my "free" time is long gone!!!

38 1/2 weeks prego!!

Well it's getting close!!! And I am getting scared! I was watching Bringing Home the Baby last night and reality kind of hit me! Am I really going to have a baby??? OH MY GOSH!! I had a doc appt on Tuesday and she scheduled me to be induced next Tuesday Jan 15th. because we don't want a 10 pound baby. So I really only have 5 more nights of somewhat peaceful sleep. It is weird how many different emotions you feel during these last few days. But I have to say...I can't wait to meet you Drake!!!

James you are 19 today!!!! Happy birthday man! I just want you to know I don't know what I would do without you!! So don't leave on a mission...just kidding! You are such a cool cat...a good free boarder...a pimpin dresser...an AWESOME babysitter...a funny guy...I'll stop before it gets to be too much for you! I love you...and wish you a GREAT 19th birthday!

How did people live back then???

Ok so seriously...I haven't had much to blog about lately. My life sometimes isn't all that exciting. Over the weekend we went to the Blazer game (Go Blazers!!) and when we got in the car I noticed I didn't have my cell phone???? It was no where to be found. It was somewhere in the Rose Garden...maybe??? Anyway long story short I never found it. And seriously how did we live without cell phones?? People did do it...I am kind of feeling a little lost without it. Where are you cell phone??? And how come I always have to have anxiety about everything? I am worried now somebody has it that shouldn't...with all my numbers and pics in there. Not that they could really do anything with it...it just makes me nervous! So I guess I am off today to buy a new one. So don't be bothered if I ask you for your number again...heck I don't know anybody's...isn't speed dial great! And how did people live without flat irons and epidurals??? I definitely know why I was born during this time!
